ACS Twin Coil Digital Covert Earpiece
Image

An advanced digital, twin channel, wide dynamic range compression inductive device featuring twin coils for optimum pick-up during head movement. Independent channel compression characteristics include two separate input/output (I/O) adjustments.

Capable of processing 2.56 million calculations per second, the advanced DSP chip achieve extremely high levels of performance at one of the lowest battery consumption levels. Low level expansion ensures quieter performance and a unique Dynamic Contrast Detector 'reaches down' to amplify and enhance quiet speech.

DSP technology offers significant advantages over conventional analogue electro-magnetic earpieces and for the first time, a look-ahead detection feature monitors the signal path for oncoming, loud transients, reducing the gain in advance and nearly eliminating the signal clipping often associated with loud transients. An adaptive feedback cancellation feature offers significant improvement for a stable gain and an audible low battery indicator will warn the user that a battery change is imminent.

Supplied as a customer made unit for each operative, the incidence of loss is dramatically reduced. The custom fit ensures exceptional comfort and provides extended wearing periods not possible with standard generic fit devices. Standard fit 'backup' versions are available, keeping operatives active in case of loss or damage to the individual custom model. Optional, on-site programming can truly tailor response settings for individuals who may have hearing damage or require specific enhanced audio settings.

With its small size, advanced signal processing and secure fir under extreme conditions, this ACS product delivers a practical and effective solution for covert listening.

Please note - ACS products require good deep impressions in order to create a seal in the ear so it is important there is no wax block in the canal that will stop the audiologist from taking an impression. If you think you may have a wax build up, please visit your local GP for a consultation before booking an appointment with a dealer. You may be charged a fee if the audiologist is unable to take an impression.

Where can I buy ACS products?

ACS products are available from a nationwide network of Audiologists as well as directly from us at our offices in Banbury. You'll need to make an appointment to have impressions taken which will then be sent on to us to allow us to manufacture your custom-fit products. To find your nearest Audiologist see the complete list on our Find A Dealer page. Please note that production time is always dependent upon orders received.  The skills and experience involved in making our hand-crafted products are not acquired overnight so employing more staff, whilst increasing our labour force, does not bring an immediate reduction in production time - please bear with us in times of increased demand for our products

Action on Hearing Loss

Action on Hearing Loss – formerly the Royal National Institute for Deaf People – is the national charity helping people confronting deafness, tinnitus and hearing loss to live the life they choose. It enables people to take control of their lives and remove the barriers in their way, giving them support and care, developing technology and treatments and campaigning for equality. Since the charity’s foundation in 1911, it has grown to be the UK’s leading deafness charity, supporting more than a quarter of a million people each year and running the world’s largest donor-funded hearing research programme.
