Clearsound™ Hearing Protectors
Image

Adding to the already well-established range of custom products Advanced Communication Solutions is pleased to introduce a brand new hearing protector that offers the best practical protection system for people working in noise levels below 100dB(A). This patented and innovative protector, aptly named ‘Clearsound™’, is only available from Advanced Communication Solutions.

Clearsound™ is a custom moulded hearing protection system that uses a new range of patented RC acoustic filters. Clearsound™ offers better transparency for the higher frequency content and brings it into balance with the lower frequency content of the sound. The improved attenuation characteristic produces two important properties.

ImageFirstly, a lower range of overall attenuation levels prevents the risk of overprotection. Secondly, less distortion of the original sound character improves speech intelligibility and work sound/warning signal perception.

Clearsound™ offers high acoustical wearing comfort and eliminates the need for removal during conversation. Clearsound™ will improve the acceptance and willingness for people required to wear hearing protection and it fully conforms to the new EN458 directive (5.3.5, 5.5.4 & 5.5.5).

Optional Extras
All hearing protectors can be fitted with extraction handles, metal tracer balls and shirt clips. For loss prevention and ear-to-ear identification we can produce in the following colours red, blue, white, black and yellow. Can be supplied with neck cords if required. Please note these neck cords are a device to retain the moulds and should NOT be tugged on to aid removal, as this can damage the moulds.

Total care scheme
The Total Care Scheme from ACS offers corporate clients the opportunity to provide their workforce with custom hearing protection over a fixed-term contract. The contract, spread over the life of the product (4 years), provides an unconditional damage guarantee in addition to a complete hearing protection service and allows employers to maximise their cash flow by eliminating the high initial cost of customised hearing protectors. Typically this service will provide a fixed-cost solution providing employers with a minimum saving of 25% on their current disposable expenditure.

We'll keep your ears on file...

ACS is pleased to announce the introduction of a new state of the art scanning technology that means ALL customers that order custom made hearing protection and in-ear monitoring products from ACS will have their ear shape on file at ACS for up to 4 years. The device will scan the impressions and save as a file on the database so customers can order new products or replacements instantly without the need to have new impressions taken. What's more, this service will not cost customers anything extra on top of the standard product charge, it is just a little something we want to do to make your experience with us even more enjoyable!

Please be aware that the scanning service began on May 1st 2010 so will only apply to customers that ordered thereafter.

Heather Keenan from Kraft Foods comments

ACS has provided Kraft Foods with not only a top quality hearing protection product, but the care and attention that matches our needs. The European noise at work regulations means Kraft Foods requires a hearing protection supplier that is ready to cater for changes in the workforce at any time to ensure all of our staff are protected. An ACS representative regularly visits to take ear impressions for new employees and the product is always manufactured in impressive time. It is clear to see why ACS has such a good reputation as its hearing protection products are superb and put that together with excellent customer service, it certainly makes my job a lot easier.

Please note - ACS products require good deep impressions in order to create a seal in the ear so it is important there is no wax block in the canal that will stop the audiologist from taking an impression. If you think you may have a wax build up, please visit your local GP for a consultation before booking an appointment with a dealer. You may be charged a fee if the audiologist is unable to take an impression.

Where can I buy ACS products?

ACS products are available from a nationwide network of Audiologists as well as directly from us at our offices in Banbury. You'll need to make an appointment to have impressions taken which will then be sent on to us to allow us to manufacture your custom-fit products. To find your nearest Audiologist see the complete list on our Find A Dealer page. Please note that production time is always dependent upon orders received.  The skills and experience involved in making our hand-crafted products are not acquired overnight so employing more staff, whilst increasing our labour force, does not bring an immediate reduction in production time - please bear with us in times of increased demand for our products

How do we custom fit?

All ACS custom-fit products require an impression of your ear for us to work from. Having an impression taken is a quick and painless process that takes less than 10 minutes to complete. One of our network of audiologists will first examine your ear to ensure there is no excessive wax, then a foam plug is applied to create a seal in front of your eardrum. Finally, a soft silicone impression material is injected into the ear and allowed to set for 5 to 8 minutes before being gently removed.
