ER-20™ Universal Protectors

Conventional foam and wax plugs generally produce 10 - 20 dB of extra high end reduction than in mid and low frequencies. This bias distorts the sound and disrupts the fidelity making voices and music sound unclear and unnatural.

The ACS ER20™ is a cost effective, ready to use, one-size-fits-all earplug that closely replicates the ear's natural frequency response. The earplugs reduce sound levels by 16dB while minimizing high frequency roll-off providing high fidelity hearing protection for musicians and users in clubs and concert arenas.

The goal of the ER20™ design was the same as for Musicians Earplugs: to reduce noise but preserve sound quality; in effect, to turn down the noise but not muffle voices, environmental sounds or music

ACS ER20™ conform to EN323-2 and are provided with a carry case, neck cord and instructions.

"Everybody should realise we only have one set of ears....musicians in particular because our ears are THE tools of our trade & the conduit for our inspiration. Andy, thanks to you & ACS for providing me with the best ear protection & a lifetime of music enjoyment as a result. Thanks for spearheading the crusade for "safe ears"."

Where can I buy ACS products?

ACS products are available from a nationwide network of Audiologists as well as directly from us at our offices in Banbury. You'll need to make an appointment to have impressions taken which will then be sent on to us to allow us to manufacture your custom-fit products. To find your nearest Audiologist see the complete list on our Find A Dealer page. Please note that production time is always dependent upon orders received.  The skills and experience involved in making our hand-crafted products are not acquired overnight so employing more staff, whilst increasing our labour force, does not bring an immediate reduction in production time - please bear with us in times of increased demand for our products

How do we custom fit?

All ACS custom-fit products require an impression of your ear for us to work from. Having an impression taken is a quick and painless process that takes less than 10 minutes to complete. One of our network of audiologists will first examine your ear to ensure there is no excessive wax, then a foam plug is applied to create a seal in front of your eardrum. Finally, a soft silicone impression material is injected into the ear and allowed to set for 5 to 8 minutes before being gently removed.
