ACS PRO-26 Earplugs

The PRO 26 is one of the strongest level-attenuating earplugs available, offering protection from the most challenging sound environments whilst ensuring that you can hear clearly and perform at your best at all times. The PRO 26 offers the same incredibly natural sound as the rest of the PRO range and offers a high-frequency peak that ensures that your hearing is protected from the most dangerous and intense sounds. Ideal for those working in the loudest of environments, the PRO 26 offers clear communication, unparalleled comfort and tailor-made attenuation to ensure that you can stay in touch and in tune with your environment.

Extra strong protection but still in delicate balance
The PRO 26 filter offers some of the strongest attenuation in the PRO range but still keeps all of the frequencies in balance allowing you to stay protected but perfectly in touch with your environment. Offering level response up to 4kHz, the PRO 26 is perfect for musicians working in the loudest environments allowing complete clarity in extreme noise. In addition, the PRO 26 offers extra protection at the highest frequencies so you stay safe from the most intense sounds and can tackle your work with confidence.

The next generation of filter design
The PRO filter series has been designed anew with the wearer in mind. For starters, it’s smaller than many competing filters so that it can fit into smaller ears without any protrusion which is great for both comfort and aesthetics as it will always fit snugly underneath a helmet. The filters are also user-interchangeable so you can alternate as your environment demands to any other filter in the PRO range giving you complete control over your protection with just a single set of earmoulds. In addition, the PRO series are water resistant so they can be used outside or in high moisture environments and can withstand perspiration without it damaging the filter membrane.

The curse of the occlusion effect
Trying to create a natural sounding earplug is no mean feat as far as your own voice is concerned because, as you will have experienced, when you block off your ear canal your own voice starts to boom inside your head, this is what we call occlusion. Occlusion is caused by sound that is carried to your ear canal through the cartilage at the side of your head and usually escapes through the open ear canal so is not heard. When we block off the canal this sound cannot escape and so creates that booming effect. A large amount of occlusion can be eliminated by ensuring that the earplug sits deep enough into the ear canal to extend past the cartilage so that the sound hits the plug and is reduced rather than entering the canal at all but the PRO filters go one step further. The PRO series are vented to allow sound to pass both ways so that remaining sound can escape directly through the filter providing one of the most natural sounding earplugs available.

Tailor made for you
The PRO 26 is custom-made using soft medical-grade silicone so you get the very best in isolation and fit allowing you to wear them for hours at a time without fatigue or discomfort. Each earpiece is manufactured to the highest standards ensuring you get a comfortable, discreet and effective hearing protector that can be fitted quickly, easily and securely every time.

Produced in clear as standard, this range can be produced in black, yellow, white, red, blue and swirl combos (i.e. red/yellow, black/yellow, black/white) and can be supplied with neck cords if required. Please note these neck cords are a device to retain the moulds and should NOT be tugged on to aid removal, as this can damage the moulds. Supplied with carry case, wax cleaning pick and otoferm crème.

Where can I buy ACS products?

ACS products are available from a nationwide network of Audiologists as well as directly from us at our offices in Banbury. You'll need to make an appointment to have impressions taken which will then be sent on to us to allow us to manufacture your custom-fit products. To find your nearest Audiologist see the complete list on our Find A Dealer page. Please note that production time is always dependent upon orders received.  The skills and experience involved in making our hand-crafted products are not acquired overnight so employing more staff, whilst increasing our labour force, does not bring an immediate reduction in production time - please bear with us in times of increased demand for our products

Action on Hearing Loss

Action on Hearing Loss – formerly the Royal National Institute for Deaf People – is the national charity helping people confronting deafness, tinnitus and hearing loss to live the life they choose. It enables people to take control of their lives and remove the barriers in their way, giving them support and care, developing technology and treatments and campaigning for equality. Since the charity’s foundation in 1911, it has grown to be the UK’s leading deafness charity, supporting more than a quarter of a million people each year and running the world’s largest donor-funded hearing research programme.
