ImageYour ears are your most important item of music equipment and unlike buying a new guitar or amplifier you only get one set to last a lifetime so you need to look after what you’ve got!

The ability to hear the fine detail within both your own guitar sound and with the overall sound of any ensemble in which you perform is crucial. Whether I’m in the recording studio, performing live or in rehearsals, Advanced Communication Solutions (ACS) have given me the tools to ensure that I can achieve this goal, maintaining complete protection whilst importantly retaining all of the clarity and aesthetic beauty of the music, allowing me to really concentrate on performing whilst safe in the knowledge that the condition of my hearing is in safe hands, and will still remain to be for many years to come!

I personally use the ER series hearing protectors, with both the 15 and 25 filters, and these are simply the best available by a long way. The balance of tone, and crucially the ability to hear high-end frequencies makes all the difference. These filters don’t change the sound, they’re the only filters on the market that do what every musicians wants, to make exactly the same sound quieter without losing any of the body or clarity. Amazing!

My custom made Personal-In-Ear-Monitors produce a staggeringly clear, articulate and musically inspiring tone, either on stage, in the orchestra pit or in the recording studio. By reducing (in all practicality eliminating) the outside noise you’ll actually be hearing the music in its purest state for possibly the first time ever. The problem after using these monitors is you’ll become completely spoilt and never want to use anything else ever again so you need to make sure they’re always to hand!!

I’m hugely indebted to Andy and the guys at ACS for their fantastic products and wonderful customer services and would heartily recommend then to anyone who values their hearing and cares about the quality of sound that they experience at all times.

We'll keep your ears on file...

ACS is pleased to announce the introduction of a new state of the art scanning technology that means ALL customers that order custom made hearing protection and in-ear monitoring products from ACS will have their ear shape on file at ACS for up to 4 years. The device will scan the impressions and save as a file on the database so customers can order new products or replacements instantly without the need to have new impressions taken. What's more, this service will not cost customers anything extra on top of the standard product charge, it is just a little something we want to do to make your experience with us even more enjoyable!

Please be aware that the scanning service began on May 1st 2010 so will only apply to customers that ordered thereafter.

Where can I buy ACS products?

ACS products are available from a nationwide network of Audiologists as well as directly from us at our offices in Banbury. You'll need to make an appointment to have impressions taken which will then be sent on to us to allow us to manufacture your custom-fit products. To find your nearest Audiologist see the complete list on our Find A Dealer page. Please note that production time is always dependent upon orders received.  The skills and experience involved in making our hand-crafted products are not acquired overnight so employing more staff, whilst increasing our labour force, does not bring an immediate reduction in production time - please bear with us in times of increased demand for our products

How do we custom fit?

All ACS custom-fit products require an impression of your ear for us to work from. Having an impression taken is a quick and painless process that takes less than 10 minutes to complete. One of our network of audiologists will first examine your ear to ensure there is no excessive wax, then a foam plug is applied to create a seal in front of your eardrum. Finally, a soft silicone impression material is injected into the ear and allowed to set for 5 to 8 minutes before being gently removed.
