ACS Drivercoms™

Incredible isolation, clarity and comfort giving you crystal clear comms in the most demanding environments.

The ACS Drivercom has been designed from the ground up with performance racing environments in mind. Using an extra-soft silicone the Drivercom is crafted with an especially flush fit, all to make it as comfortable as possible when used beneath a crash helmet. Using this silicone means that the Drivercom is also completely comfortable when worn for extended periods and keeps an excellent seal in the ear at all time. In addition, the short-throw cable makes the drivercom ideal for use in confined spaces or where radios tend to be close without excess cable getting in the way.

Every inch a performance earpiece

Drivercom is designed from the ground up with the performance racing environment in mind. Improved and refined over several years, our Drivercom earpieces offer a superbly clear and comfortable communication experience that’s second to none. Using the softest silicone we can the Drivercom is crafted to sit as flush in the ear as possible, this reduces the possibility of pressure being applied when wearing a crash helment and ensures the earpiece is able to flex to accomodate changes in the ear shape that occur when a helmet is worn. In addition, using a softer silicone ensures that isolation is maintained at all times when in use so you always get clear communication that’s not clouded with outside noise.

Crystal clear communication

Drivercom uses a single lightweight speaker that’s been selected to deliver crystal clear communications and work perfectly with the majority of radio systems. Using balanced armature technology, the Drivercom speaker is compact enough to fit discreetly in the ear allowing us to keep the size and weight of your earpieces to a minimum whilst being powerful enough to ensure that you get a clear vocal signal.

Core strengths

Making sure that we use the right cable to deliver your sound is as important as every other aspect in the design of our earpieces so we make sure they are just as well thought out. Starting with the best conductive core we then add kevlar threads for strength and flexibility so that we can be sure you’ll get the performance you demand. Each cable is sheathed with a special finish that reduces the transmission of friction noise to the earpieces so there’s as little interference as possible. The cable is then clamped at the Y divide with a custom pressed lengthened binder to give it extra strength where you need it most. Drivercom can be made with a short throw (30cm) or long throw (170cm) cable depending on which is most suitable for your application.

Tried and tested

Having been in use in demanding racing environments for many years Drivercom has been redesigned and refined to give you the most comfortable, durable and functional earpieces available. Being purpose designed for your ear and your environment, you can be sure that Drivercom will give you exactly the performance you need so you can concentrate on what you do best.

Drivercoms are customised binaural earpieces enabling drivers, riders and pit crew to receive clearly in levels of high noise. Fully custom fit and made to individual specifications.

Alan Abbey - Somerset Rally Stages

I can hear all instructions from the codriver completely now, regardless of car speed, engine noise, or gravel clattering against the bottom of the car.

It's a huge improvement over what I had before, and as well as being safer (less likely to mishear and make a mistake), the increased confidence translated to increased speed, and our best result to date on any rally..

Some interesting facts on ACS Drivercoms

Andy Green chose ACS Drivercoms during his Dieselmax Land Speed Record attempt in August 2006 at Bonneville Salt Flats for the British construction equipment company JCB.

Please note - ACS products require good deep impressions in order to create a seal in the ear so it is important there is no wax block in the canal that will stop the audiologist from taking an impression. If you think you may have a wax build up, please visit your local GP for a consultation before booking an appointment with a dealer. You may be charged a fee if the audiologist is unable to take an impression.

Where can I buy ACS products?

ACS products are available from a nationwide network of Audiologists as well as directly from us at our offices in Banbury. You'll need to make an appointment to have impressions taken which will then be sent on to us to allow us to manufacture your custom-fit products. To find your nearest Audiologist see the complete list on our Find A Dealer page. Please note that production time is always dependent upon orders received.  The skills and experience involved in making our hand-crafted products are not acquired overnight so employing more staff, whilst increasing our labour force, does not bring an immediate reduction in production time - please bear with us in times of increased demand for our products

Action on Hearing Loss

Action on Hearing Loss – formerly the Royal National Institute for Deaf People – is the national charity helping people confronting deafness, tinnitus and hearing loss to live the life they choose. It enables people to take control of their lives and remove the barriers in their way, giving them support and care, developing technology and treatments and campaigning for equality. Since the charity’s foundation in 1911, it has grown to be the UK’s leading deafness charity, supporting more than a quarter of a million people each year and running the world’s largest donor-funded hearing research programme.
